In 2020 a spanking new monthly living music series launches in Sydney’s inner west at the Old 505 Theatre. Known for its jazz, 505 on Cleveland Street closed its doors at the end of 2019, making way for a week of acoustic musical styles each month as part of 'Acoustic Ritual’ at the Old 505 Theatre - this beguiling new space for music in Sydney was the ballroom of the original Newtown School of the Arts at 5 Eliza Street Newtown and in 2020 for one Wednesday a month it will be home to living new music in all its glory. Curated by Lamorna Nightingale and Claire Edwardes, true to their roots the pair have put together a program of original music featuring established artists alongside emerging voices and international guests
