MIDNIGHT STATIC ACCESS OVERVIEW

Every effort has been made to make Midnight Static as accessible as possible. We have some photos of the different spaces and access available in the building as well as some outlines how to get to the venue by different types of public transport.

VISUAL STORY - HOW TO GET TO THE SPACE

GETTING TO THE SPACE : Living Room Theatre 21 Shepherd St Marrickville.

PARKING - there is free parking on the streets that is fairly easy to find at night time. If you need an accessible parking spot then Michelle can let you know about a good spot nearby. michelle@livingroomtheatre.org.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT You can get to 21 Shepherd St, Marrickville by taking a bus. the 428 looks like a good option from the city because it takes you straight along George St, via King Street Newtown, Enmore Road then turns right into Addison Rd. You get off at Denby St then it’s about a 5 min walk along Addison Road then turn left into Shepherd St. When you get to the corner of Jebez St - turn left again.

If you get the train it’s about a 20 min walk from Stanmore Station.

COMMUNITY TRANSPORT : The Leichhardt Marrickville Community Transport Group offers door-to-door transport for those who cannot use public transport. You can contact them at 02 9558 680002 or 02 9558 6800 or visit lctg.net.au.

 WHAT TO EXPECT ONCE AT THE VENUE

ARRIVING Doors will open to the venue at 7.30pm to allow you to get settled in for the concert and find a seat. The performance will have a relaxed start and begin at approximately 8.00pm. A member of BackStage or Living Room Theatre will be waiting at the front door to check your ticket and welcome you to the concert. If it is busy, there may be a queue of people.

ASSISTANCE ANIMALS are welcome at the venue and drinking water is available.  Probably the closest Park is Victoria Park on the corner of Enmore and Edgeware Rd.

BATHROOMS : If you need the bathroom there is one gender neutral accessible bathroom. These toilets are not accessible.

IMAGE OF THE INTERNAL SPACE

The Midnight Static concert will take place in the performance space which is a large rectangular space. Visual signage will be available to signpost the different areas in the space.

HEARING LOOP : Living Room Theatre does not have a hearing loop and is not able to provide hearing support for this concert.

AUDIO DESCRIPTION : Audio Description will not be provided as part of this performance however some visual descriptions will be included in program notes and live introductions to works.

FLEXIBLE SEATING Flexible Seating will be provided as part of this concert. 

LIGHTING : Midnight Static will use lighting effects. These lighting effects will mostly be very subtle.

QUIET SPACE If you need a break at any time, there is a quiet space available in at the back of the space. The doors to the performance space will be left open to allow audience members to move freely in and out of the space throughout the concert.

END: The concert will end at approximately 9:15pm but feel free to stay and chat after the concert finishes!
